CONFIGURING TCP/IP SETTINGS
AIM: To configure TCP/IP settings for internet connectivity
DESCRIPTION:
INTERNET: The most important fact to understand about internet is that it can potentially link your computer to any other computer. Anyone can access to the internet and can exchange text, data files, and programs with any other user. The internet itself is the pipeline that carries data between computers.
The internet works because every computer connected to it uses the same set of rules and procedures (known as protocols) to control timing and data format.
The protocols used by the internet are called transmission control protocols/internet protocols.
PROCEDURE: to configure TCP/IP settings
- Right click on My network places and select properties.
- Then get this page
- Right click on the local area connection you want to configure.
- Select internet protocol (TCP/IP) and click on properties.
- Then click ok button.
RESULT: configuring of TCP/IP settings for internet connectivity is successfully completed
